Ireland Selected for Wave-Energy Project

Swedish power utility Vattenfall and Irish wave-energy developer Wavebob announced on Monday plans to build a commercial-scale wave-energy project off the west coast of Ireland.

Vattenfall has acquired 51% of the Irish ocean energy site development company Pandion Ltd for €500,000 [US $655,550]. Ocean energy developer Wavebob Ltd will hold the remaining 49% of Pandion and the agreement allows opportunities for further partners to participate.
